Success at L.K.A. 2007

Congratulation to David Guy's Griffon Bruxellois for winning the best in show at L.K.A.

We also send sincere congratulations to Jane Dennis for winning the ProPlan/Dog World Pup of the year with her English setter Mariglen Francesca Fenston, which was born in Newdog whelping box.

Congratulations also to another of our Whelping Box and Whelping Mat customers, Nicola Calvert, for her win with her Springer Spaniel, Sh Ch Calvdale Claire Blake.

As in previous years the L.K.A. was a very enjoyable show experience. It was, as always, super to see so many of customers and to get such amazing positive feedback.

The commitee did a splendid job in organising the show for both show dog exhibitors and us hard working people with trade stands. Congratulations to them. It can be a thankless job.

The large entry of 11,984 dogs, over the previous year, an increase of about 400. Lesley Jupp did a great job of taking over from Sybil Churchill who had been L.K.A. show secretary since 1977 so many congratulations to her and also her husband who had taken over from Stuart Chamberlain as floor manager. Barbara Roderick is not only treasurer but was also in charge of Trade Stands. Not an easy task. There was an increase in Trade Stands from 96 last year to 107 this year. Most trade stands were thrilled with thebrisk Christmas shopping trade.

We look forward now to trading at Crufts 2008 at the N.E.C. 6th - 9th March.
